SmarterSafe S1 · Smart safe for restaurants

Cash that counts itself, credits itself, and reports itself.

The S1 sits under your counter. Your crew drops bills, it validates and counts every note, credits the deposit to your bank, and posts the shift to your dashboard before the manager clocks out.

Hardware, software and service in one flat monthly price per store.

The hardware

A safe that knows exactly what's inside it.

Steel body, bolted to the floor, with a bulk note feeder on the front. Every bill is validated and counted on the way in, so the total in the safe is a fact, not a count somebody did at 1am.

  • Bulk feederDrop a stack, not one note at a time.
  • Counterfeit detection on every noteRejected bills come back out, flagged on the log.
  • Sealed cassetteFull cassettes lock; cash can't be removed at the store.
  • PIN per userEvery drop, open and error is stamped with who did it.
  • Time-delay lock and duress PINStandard, on every unit.
  • Battery backupKeeps running and keeps logging through a power cut.
  • Ethernet, Wi-Fi and LTE failoverIt reports even when the store's internet doesn't.

  • AlertsMissed drop, jam, door left open, cassette full, store that hasn't reported.
  • ExportsYour deposit history out to CSV or your accounting system, any time.
  • RolesCrew, manager, above-store and owner each see their own scope.

The daily flow

What actually happens, start to finish.

1

Drop

Manager enters a PIN and feeds the drawer in. The S1 validates, counts and posts the drop against that person and that shift. Prints or emails a receipt.

2

Credit

The deposit is reported as soon as it's in the safe and credited to your existing bank account — you're not waiting on a truck to see your money.

3

Collect

A licensed armored carrier swaps the sealed cassette on a set route, with chain of custody recorded from the store to the bank.

Who built it

Designed by restaurant operators, for restaurant operators.

We run NN restaurants across N national brands. We bought the safes, signed the contracts, and lived with the reporting the big cash companies hand you — which is built for a bank, not for someone running shifts.

The S1 is what we wanted in our own stores: real per-shift accountability, a price with no surcharges stapled to it, and a phone number that reaches someone who has closed a restaurant.

Compare

How the S1 program differs from a national cash-services contract.

  Typical national contract SmarterSafe
Term Three to five years, auto-renewing Month to month, 30 days' notice
Pricing Base fee + per-stop + fuel surcharge + add-ons One flat price per store, all in
Reporting Daily deposit totals, formatted for the bank Shift, drawer and employee-level over/short
Service Third-party dispatch, often days out We service our own units and swap a dead one
Support National call center and a ticket number The operators who built it

Terms vary by provider and by contract — hold this up against your own agreement rather than taking either column on faith.

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I have to change banks?

No. Deposits go to the account you already use.

What happens if the safe goes down mid-shift?

It still locks, so your crew keeps securing cash the old way. We get a unit out to you and reconcile the drops that weren't counted.

Does it handle coin?

Bills are standard. Coin dispensing and change orders are an optional module — tell us your store's setup and we'll spec it.

Does it connect to my POS?

Tell us what you run. Deposits export to CSV out of the box, and we'll talk through what a direct connection looks like for your system.

What does it cost?

One flat monthly price per store covering hardware, software, service and pickups — quoted in writing before you sign anything, with no stop fees or fuel surcharges.

I only have one store.

Same product, same price structure, same phone number as an operator with fifty.

I'm locked into a contract right now.

Most operators are. Send us the agreement — we'll tell you your real out date and what it costs to leave, and time the install around it.

Request a quote

Tell us your store count and we'll price it.

You'll get a written quote covering hardware, software, service and pickups, plus the spec sheet for the configuration your volume calls for.
